The 2017 Fun Quiz Night was a fantastic success and enjoyed by everybody, so come along, have a great evening out and help the Building Appeal.
We look forward to seeing you in September.
The organisers of “Proms on the Green” at Red Oaks in June donated £100 from the event to the HSCC Building Appeal. We are forever amazed at the strong support and kind generosity that the Appeal receives from the people of Henfield.
A surprise donor seeking shelter from the rain visited the HSCC stand at Henfield Summer Fair on Saturday and promptly wrote a cheque for £750. This man’s kindness ensured that all the preparation work was worthwhile and that the afternoon was anything but a washout in spite of the atrocious weather.
The magnificent total of £1,030 was raised at “Cake and a Cuppa” on The Green at South View Terrace during the Festival of Gardens and Arts weekend in June. Visitors enjoyed homemade cakes with their cuppa while listening to either jazz quartet “Four” or country music duo “The Minogues”, sitting in the sunshine and looking out at the beautiful South Downs. Paradise on earth!
A huge thank you to everyone who participated during the weekend, either by selling teas and cakes, washing up, baking cakes, loaning equipment, buying craftwork, playing the music or simply visiting and buying some amazing cakes. Thanks also to St Peter’s Church, Henfield for the loan of their display boards. Without the help and support of you all, the weekend would not have been such a resounding success.
