The Scout Hut was rotting rapidly and became unsafe for further use, so the Scout Group temporarily relocated to the District Campsite at a nearby village in 2021. The old Scout Hut was demolished in 2022 and work commenced on the new Community Centre in January 2023.
The HSCC Building Appeal is now supported by The Rampion Fund at Sussex Community Foundation following a £50,000 award being granted…. Fantastic news! The construction start date draws ever closer.
The Building Appeal fund now stands at over £94,000 with an additional £20,000 worth of electrical and fire safety work pledged by Allsaved UK Ltd, visit their website at https://allsaveduk.com/
Other local companies have pledged palisade fencing and re-turfing the field.
